If you anticipate that your climate data needs will be ongoing, you may find that our MRCC Application Tools Environment (cli-MATE) to be the most cost effective and convenient means of accessing our data sets. Cli-MATE is a completely free online system. Cli-MATE allows user-friendly access to a substantial portion of our climate data, including a number of value added products. To use the system, you must register for an account, which only takes a minute. No private information is ever shared with other parties.
If your climate data needs are occasional, for official purposes (such as insurance or legal), or you wish to be helped by our expert staff directly, the following service and pricing guide is provided to help you.
Service Guidelines and Pricing
All data that come from our parent agency, the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI), are free to you. Costs associated with any order from those data holdings are for the staff time necessary to provide the data in the user-specified format, not the data itself. Data from specialized networks may incur a cost for both the data and personnel time necessary to provide the data.
Questions or requests that can be answered quickly by phone will not incur charges. Otherwise, a full service request may be necessary and charges incurred (a unit is approximately 1/2 hour). All certification requests require a service charge. Effective May 1, 2015, our prices for service requests have changed to better reflect our services. The new pricing is listed below:
|Service Charges:||Service request minimum, including standard delivery||$25.00|
|Long/complicated requests additional units||$25.00 per additional unit|
|Additional Charges:||Certification, notarized||$25.00|
|Rush fee, overnight delivery||$25.00|
|Rush fee, same day digital delivery*||$50.00|
All orders include shipping costs. If you have any questions about the new pricing, please contact the MRCC Service Office by calling (765) 494-9837 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
