Regional Climate Centers

Managed by the National Centers for Environmental Information, six regional climate centers engage in timely production and delivery of useful climate data, information and knowledge for decision-makers and other users at the local, state, regional and national levels

American Association of State Climatologists

AASC is a professional scientific organization comprised of state climatologists, directors of the six regional climate centers, and associate members focused on advancing the development and delivery of science-based climate services on a local and state level

National Centers for Environmental Information

NOAA's NCEI maintains the world's largest climate data archive, ranging from paleoclimatic data to centuries-old journals to data less than an hour old, and provides climatological services to every sector of the United States economy and to users worldwide

National Drought Mitigation Center

The Drought Center helps people, organizations, and institutions build resilience to drought through drought education, monitoring, and planning, and is the academic partner and web host of the United States Drought Monitor that is released weekly

National Integrated Drought Information System

NIDIS is a multi-agency partnership that coordinates drought monitoring, forecasting, planning, and information at national, state, and local levels across the country

USDA Climate Hubs

The USDA Climate Hubs are a unique collaboration that are led and hosted by the Agricultural Research Service and Forest Service located at ten regional locations across the United States and focus on developing and delivering science-based, region-specific information and technologies that enable climate-informed decision making and provide access to assistance to implement those decisions

National Weather Service

The National Weather service provides weather, water and climate data, forecasts, warnings, and impact-based decision support services for the protection of life and property and enhancement of the national economy

Climate Prediction Center

The National Weather Service's CPC products are operational predictions of climate variability, real-time monitoring of climate and the required databases, and assessments of the origins of major climate anomalies

National Water and Climate Center

The NWCC is part of the Natural Resources Conservation Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and leads the development and transfer of water and climate information and technology that supports natural resource conservation

Great Lakes Integrated Sciences and Assessments

GLISA is one of 11 Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments teams that focus on helping the nation prepare for and adapt to climate variability and climate change by working with stakeholders and decision makers to ensure that climate research and information is responsive to their needs

Climate Adaptation Science Centers

The CASCs provide science about the natural hazards that threaten lives and livelihoods, the water, energy, minerals, the health of ecosystems and environment, and the impacts of climate and land-use change
